We have been shipping milk commercially for 8 years now. We are currently milking 68 does. We will have does freshening at most times of the year to maintain a level amount of production throughout the year. We currently have approximately 300 animals, although this number changes almost daily. We plan to continue to grow the herd until we are milking around 200 head year round. We do plan to keep most of the doe kids that are born this year, but will offer some good quality kids for show, and milk for sale. We have taken a couple years off from classification and have applied to have the herd classed this year. We also hope to have a oneday milk test as well.
